Penne with Homemade Vodka Sauce: Dinner for Two | I Heart Recipes

Hi friends! I’ve got a great Valentine’s Day recipe for you: Penne with Homemade Vodka Sauce

I simply adore this recipe! It’s super easy and full of rich flavor. It makes a terrific meal for a romantic night.

Start off by sauteing onions in a bit of olive oil. Once they’re nice and translucent, add in minced garlic, tomato sauce, butter and heavy cream (didn’t I say this was rich?). Mix until well combined. Add in Italian seasonings, salt, pepper, sun dried tomatoes and a splash of good quality vodka. Toss in al dente Penne pasta, cover and cook for about 10 minutes. Dish out into pasta bowls and sprinkle with cheese and fresh parsley. Serve with a side salad and Italian bread. Enjoy your romantic evening in!
