Today I’m sharing two easy snack ideas for kids. The first is a dip perfect for dipping fresh fruit in & the other is oatmeal raisin bars. Whisk together 1 cup vanilla yogurt, 1/2 cup powdered sugar, & 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter. Serve with fresh fruit or graham crackers.
OATMEAL RAISIN BARS
From this cookbook, but I suggest looking for it at Dollar Tree (
Cream together 1 1/2 sticks unsalted butter (softened) & 3/4 cup packed brown sugar. Add 1 egg, 1tsp salt, 1 tsp cinnamon. Mix until incorporated. Add 1 cup flour, 2 cups old-fashioned oats, and 1 cup raisins. The dough will be thick but stir until well combined. Line a 9×13 pan with parchment paper. Spread mixture into baking dish. Use hands to pat down evenly. Bake at 250 for 25-30 minutes.
Let cool and then cut into bars.
